Photosynthesis is an endo thermic process which means energy needs to come into the process energy is a reactant. So we have energy combining with six molecules of carbon dioxide, six molecules of water to produce a molecule of glucose and six molecules of oxygen. Cellular respiration on the other hand is pretty much a reverse of this reaction. We start with the glucose and six molecules of water and we produce six Carbon dioxide molecules, six water molecules and then energy is released. So setting the respiration is exhaust thermic. Alright, so for photosynthesis the energy there comes from of course the sun and in cellular respiration, the energy that goes off is used to power this is the organism. It's usually in the form of a teepee which is a readily available form of energy which can then be used for cellular processes. And of course some has released as heat as well. Alright, so what do we need for each of these? Well, for photosynthesis we of course need the sun or solar energy. So we need solar energy to drive photosynthesis. Since some of the respiration, his eggs are thermic, it brings its own energy. And that energy is stored as potential chemical energy in the bonds of the glucose molecule. So, solar energy for photosynthesis and chemical energy stored as potential energy in the bonds of the glucose for cellular respiration, cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondria and produces the energy that cells need.
